The Tiger and Bear Museum Collection as part of The Third Nationality at Amado Art Space, Seoul

The Tiger and Bear Museum Collection is proud to announce our involvement in The Third Nationality at Amado Art Space Seoul.

Tiger and Bear’s contribution to the Third Nationality marks the end of a five year relationship between award winning artists Steven Slade and Boris Hans two artists from Peru who came to South Korea in 2008 and left in 2014. During their five year relationship they achieved a great deal of artistic feats, including performing live on stage with Korean rock stars Go Go Star, participating in over fifty performance art festivals, featuring in a music video for American super group Swingset Committee, creating the most innovative concept for a comic strip since The Dandy, writing a best selling autobiography, staring in the hit comedy Shoomie’s Got a Pencil, and winning a whole plethora of awards.

Partners of the Museum of Tiger and Bear Collection would like to eulogize this breathtaking partnership that stole the hearts of some.

The Tiger and Bear 5 Year Anniversary Reunion and The Tiger Family Farewell Party, 2013

The award winning art duo Tiger and Bear celebrate their 5 year anniversary with a special reunion performance. Tiger and Bear first performed together on Nami Island in 2008, the arists took their project to numerous festivals around Korea, until personal differences forced them apart in 2010. Topple decided to explore the dark side of the tiger with its role in Korean folk tales, performing solo for two years under the guise of Tiger, while Riddle enjoyed brief musical success in Germany with his top selling single ‘In Meinem Teich.’
Now in 2013 the duo has decided to put their differences aside and return as Tiger and Bear for one last fling in the land of morning calm. And to promote their new autobiography “We’re Only Animals.”
Originally intended as part of the KEAF 2013 program, the performance was canceled after Bear’s appendix exploded and he was admitted into hospital.
This impromptu performance took place several months later announced in the streets of Apgujeong Seoul where it also coincided with The Tiger Family farewell party.
